Pro-Life vs. Pro-Choice Worldviews

Abortion is, basically, the act of killing an unborn child when he/she is still in the womb of the mother. There are two sides for and against abortion: Pro-Life and Pro-Choice.

The Pro-Choicer groups say that the mother has the right to choose her own “destiny” and the “destiny” of the “fetus” by making her own mind on whether or not to let the “fetus” live or die depending on her current situation (even though that situation might change for the better in the future). A lot of times Pro-Choicers are pro-abortion also, meaning they support the mother killing the unborn baby “if she needs to,” but the nice term used is the “termination of pregnancy.”

The Pro-Lifers, I am one of them, support, whether or not they know it, the Bible’s definition of life and the protection of life. Pro-Lifers believe that all unborn children should be “allowed” or “given the right” to be born and live a good life. Many go a step farther and say that abortion is an act of murder on the first degree and a sin against God.

There is scientific proof that unborn children are just that: children. Human beings just like you and I just a little smaller and younger. The Bible states that God has given all human beings souls and that includes unborn children. There are NO exceptions to this rule. This is the very essence of why humans are above the animal kingdom. Not evolution, not natural selection, but God given souls. Each person’s soul is the “invisible core” that will pass on to the “next life” the very moment the body dies. This is the same with unborn children. Though their minds are not fully developed they do have souls, I believe, from the moment of conception and throughout the pregnancy process.

The main reason why the Pro-Choicers are wrong is because many women have been brainwashed, whether or not on purpose, into thinking that the unborn child is just an embryo or just a fetus. Many times by the Pro-Choicers and Pro-Abortionists. This causes the women to already have a biased opinion as to their choice of whether or not the embryo/fetus will live. On top of that the women must likely be told hundreds of reasons why not to have the child, such as; abortion is safe, once you have a child your play time is over, everyone else has an abortion, you will get fat and won’t be popular, you won’t be able to work, you need 1 million dollars to raise a kid, the kid won’t even have a father so what is the point, etc. You get the point I hope. Only one side of the story is being told. Not the side that talks about the child having a soul or that by having an abortion you are actually committing a premeditated murder. No, not that unbiased. The only side being told is the Pro-Choice Pro-Abortion one that says unborn children are things and abortion is not murder.

Pro-Choice is not even Biblical! It is not up to the doctors or even the parents whether or not the unborn child lives or dies. It is up to God!

God says in Deuteronomy 32:39 – “See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.” This might be very hard to swallow for some but it is truth.

Many groups and organizations like Live Action, 40 Days for Life, along with thousands of other people are trying to bring the truth to everyone, not just women. Also groups like Live Action are trying to bring abortion down on its knees and hopefully be banned from the USA. If you’re a woman who is going to be a mother soon and your considering having an abortion or have had one and are sorry for doing having done it, please contact a group Live Action and they can and will help you to choose life and help your pain to heal. And if you do not want to do that; there are thousands of people who would want to adopt your baby if you do not want him/her. May God have mercy on this nation and shine His mercy on us that abortion might be banned.

Praise be to the Great Physician for all Eternity!
